Medical Insurance: Plan now available

For several years the GARBC has been searching for a medical insurance plan to recommend to it's Pastors. At its meeting in 2003, the Council of Eighteen voted to recommend an insurance agency that provides medical coverage for pastors, their families, and their staff members. The Mel Himes and Associates Insurance Agency of Deltona, Florida, can design a group or individual health plan to fit your needs and your financial situation. Mel Himes & Associates Insurance Agency has available various Health Insurance Programs for Pastors and Churches of the GARBC. This is NOT a "Group Health Plan" through the GARBC. Federal Law requires an 'employer - employee' relationship for a 'true Group Health Plan' to exist.
MHAIA, inc can 'design' a Health Plan for YOU or YOUR church employees.

Individual Plans do require Medical Underwriting. Your Health situation may disqualify you for an Individual Health Plan.

Group Health Plans do require TWO full time employees. Health situations MAY be considered.

MHAIA, inc has 'alternative Health Plans' that may meet your individual situation if you do not qualify for any Health Plans through the normal process. These Plans 'reimburse' or allow 'discounts' through medical providers. These Plans are NOT medically underwritten. Usually they offer an extensive coverage portfolio with itemized dollar amounts for medical services rendered. Premiums are very affordable.

You can access the Proposal Forms through our website. Click on the Individual or Group links through our Life & Health page. Or you can call to talk to a 'real live person' and information will be taken over the phone.

We will strive to have a Proposal for you within two weeks. Some Companies require medical records before a Proposal is released.

If you accept the Proposal, forms can be mailed, completed and mailed or faxed back. Effective dates are usually 30 days AFTER the application is submitted. This allows underwriting and processing time. Please DO NOT CANCEL CURRENT COVERAGE UNTIL YOU ARE ACCEPTED BY A CARRIER.
